“As the monkeypox case count hits 100 in South Carolina, the state is looking to stretch its vaccine supply with new techniques and new sites to get it.
Some complain the criteria for getting a shot is too limited, and the Department of Health and Environmental Control is considering whether to expand that, as well, an official said.
South Carolina’s 100 confirmed cases of what DHEC now refers to as MPX is still dwarfed by neighbors like Georgia with nearly 1,300, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. There were more than 17,400 cases in the U.S. as of Aug. 26, the CDC said….”
