Celebrating those who have changed history through their HIV/AIDS Activism
Throughout the month of February, we’ll be celebrating Black History Month by highlighting Black people who have changed the course of history through their HIV/AIDs activism. Today, we’re celebrating the life and legacy of Marsha P. Johnson –– an activist, self-identified drag queen, performer, and survivor. Among Marsha’s countless contributions to the betterment of society, she was a fierce activist during the height of the AIDS pandemic and was known for her street activism through ACT UP.
